The mission of the music department is to equip students with the skills, inspiration, and awareness necessary to live a life immersed in the musical arts. Students will encounter the benefits of music education, including being connected to their community, having a positive outlet for expressing themselves, the work ethic of pursuing excellence, and developing a lifetime hobby that can continue beyond their K-12 education. Students also learn 21st century skills, including collaboration towards a common goal, creative problem-solving, emotional awareness, implementing feedback, and serving others, which will enhance their lives.
